Musicbed made being a part of their roster feel exclusive. It gave artists and incredibly high-quality website to send licensing requests to that further legitimized them. They charge more than competitors, but they work with the very best. I want to provide that same feeling to Darndest creators. Whether it be through hiring a photographer to showcase and interview a creator on the blog & social, or by giving a seamless way for brands to work with independent creators, I want any creator that uses Darndest to feel like they’re apart of something big.
Ease of Use | Airbnb
Airbnb took what should* be a very painful and annoying task, and made it fun, simple, and fast. I believe their workflow is nearly identical to what the discovery, search, and approval process for Darndest should look like.
Quality Control | MicroAquire
Microaquire has done an amazing job as far as maintaining a very high quality group of users on the site. I think a big part of this is that their onboarding process isn’t instant. They’ve built in enough (free) barriers that only serious users will sign up. A huge part of Darndest will be quality control in our creators and brands.
